Joy

Genuine & Heartwarming
JOY caught me off guard in the best way with its perfect mixture of whimsical charm and genuine, heartfelt struggle to make sense of life and loss. The performances were touching and real. I love how the story was so tenderly woven. Sometimes life smacks you right in the face, other times you discover lessons through strangers. And, sometimes you get close to figuring it all out while lost in the grocery store. This film will leave you feeling inspired to live and love life to the fullest. I recommend JOY!

A total Joy.
Apologies for the pun in the title - alas, I could not resist... This is a little gem of a movie I'd recommend to anyone. It's clear the filmmakers put a lot of heart and earnest raw emotion in the telling of this story, and it pays off. The emotions and interplay between the sisters never felt less than real and I really admire the bravery of these performances. Kudos to all involved - this shows what you can do with an indie movie if you've got a few bucks and a ton of talent.

Touching Movie
The creators are friends of mine and they have had to endure some heavy tragedies in their family. "Joy" is a sweet story of how they cope and stay strong.
